1. Agreement to Terms

Welcome to #NoDogsNoVote. These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of our platform at nodogsnovote.com (the "Platform").

By accessing or using our Platform, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree with any part of these Terms, you may not use our Platform.

2. Eligibility

To use this Platform and register your vote, you must:

• Be at least 18 years of age
• Be a resident of India or have a connection to Indian animal and environment rights issues
• Provide accurate and truthful information when registering
• Agree to receive communications from us (including emails, WhatsApp, and SMS updates)

By using this Platform, you represent and warrant that you meet these eligibility requirements.

3. Platform Purpose

The #NoDogsNoVote Platform serves as a digital campaign tool for:

• Vote Registration: Allowing citizens to register their vote against the establishment that harms animals, the environment, and wildlife
• Information Sharing: Providing articles, news, and educational content about animal and environment rights
• Advocacy: Raising awareness about offenders and promoting boycotts of harmful products/services
• Community Building: Connecting like-minded activists across India

This Platform is a tool for peaceful democratic activism and expression. It is not affiliated with any political party or electoral process.

4. Vote Registration

4.1 One Vote Per Person

To maintain the integrity and credibility of our movement, each person may register their vote only once. We use browser local storage and database checks to enforce this policy.

4.2 Accurate Information

You agree to provide accurate, current, and complete information when registering your vote. Providing false or misleading information undermines the credibility of our movement and may result in removal of your vote.

4.3 Vote Integrity

We reserve the right to verify the authenticity of votes and remove any votes we determine to be fraudulent, duplicate, or automated.

5. Acceptable Use Policy

You agree NOT to:

• Use the Platform for any illegal purpose or in violation of any laws
• Attempt to register multiple votes using different identities or devices
• Use automated systems (bots, scripts) to manipulate vote counts
• Interfere with or disrupt the Platform's functionality or security
• Attempt to gain unauthorized access to our systems or databases
• Harass, threaten, or defame any individual or organization through the Platform
• Use the Platform to promote violence or illegal activities
• Scrape, crawl, or harvest data from the Platform without permission
• Impersonate any person or entity
• Transmit viruses, malware, or any harmful code

Violation of this policy may result in immediate suspension of your access and removal of your vote registration.

6. Content and Intellectual Property

6.1 Our Content

All content on this Platform, including text, graphics, logos, images, videos, and software, is the property of #NoDogsNoVote movement or our content contributors and is protected by copyright and other intellectual property laws.

6.2 Limited License

We grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to access and use the Platform for personal, non-commercial purposes related to the movement. You may share our content for advocacy purposes, but you may not modify, reproduce, or commercially exploit it without permission.

6.3 User-Generated Content

If you share content generated through our Platform (such as shareable vote cards or AI-generated campaign content), you grant us a worldwide, royalty-free license to use, reproduce, and distribute that content for campaign purposes.

7. Disclaimer of Warranties

THE PLATFORM IS PROVIDED ON AN "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" BASIS WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EITHER EXPRESS OR IMPLIED.

We do not warrant that:

• The Platform will be uninterrupted, secure, or error-free
• The results or information obtained through the Platform will be accurate or reliable
• Any errors in the Platform will be corrected
• The Platform will meet your specific requirements

As a volunteer-run movement, we operate on limited resources and cannot guarantee continuous availability or perfect functionality.

8. Limitation of Liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, #NODOGSNOVOTE AND ITS ORGANIZERS, VOLUNTEERS, AND CONTRIBUTORS SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES ARISING OUT OF OR RELATED TO YOUR USE OF THE PLATFORM.

This includes, but is not limited to, damages for loss of profits, data, or other intangible losses, even if we have been advised of the possibility of such damages.

9. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless #NoDogsNoVote, its organizers, volunteers, and contributors from any claims, liabilities, damages, losses, and expenses (including legal fees) arising from:

• Your violation of these Terms
• Your violation of any rights of another person or entity
• Your misuse of the Platform

10. Third-Party Services

Our Platform uses third-party services including:

• Appwrite (database and backend services)
• Netlify (hosting and analytics)
• Email service providers
• WhatsApp and SMS messaging services
• Social media platforms (for sharing functionality)
• AI content generation services

Your use of these services through our Platform is subject to their respective terms of service and privacy policies. We are not responsible for the practices or content of third-party services.

11. Communications and Updates

By registering your vote, you consent to receive communications from us via:

• Email: Campaign updates, newsletters, and important announcements
• WhatsApp: Quick updates and calls to action (if you provided a phone number)
• SMS: Critical campaign alerts (if you provided a phone number)

You can opt out of these communications at any time by following the unsubscribe instructions in our messages or contacting us directly.

12. Content Accuracy and Opinions

The content on our Platform, including articles, offender profiles, and boycott lists, represents the collective views and research of animal and environment rights activists. While we strive for accuracy:

• Information is based on publicly available sources and activist research
• Content represents opinions and interpretations that may be contested
• We welcome corrections and additional information
• Content should not be construed as professional advice (legal, financial, etc.)

Users are encouraged to conduct their own research and form their own opinions.

13. Privacy

Your use of the Platform is also governed by our Privacy Policy. Please review it to understand how we collect, use, and protect your personal information.

14. Termination

We reserve the right to:

• Remove any vote registration we determine to be fraudulent or in violation of these Terms

Upon termination, your right to use the Platform will immediately cease, but certain provisions of these Terms (including disclaimers and limitations of liability) will survive.

15. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time to reflect changes in our practices or for legal reasons. We will notify you of any material changes by updating the "Last Updated" date at the top of these Terms. Your continued use of the Platform after changes are posted constitutes your acceptance of the revised Terms.

16. Governing Law and Jurisdiction

These Terms are governed by the laws of India, without regard to conflict of law principles.

Any disputes arising from these Terms or your use of the Platform shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts in Delhi, India.

17. Severability
